| Fifth year students with visiting Prof. Nikola Hale, Dean of Studies of International Business Management, HFU Furtwangen University in Germany
at the AmCham in the World Trade Center, San Salvador, with Executive Director, Carmen Aida Munoz.
Part of the course on Intercultural Management, taught by Prof. Hale in March 2014 at ESEN, was a visit to the AmCham. The goal was for these senior students to gain insights into wide-raging operations of AmCham and why this agency will be essential for them, soon starting their careers in international business. The students worked in the seminar with Nikola Hale on topics from expatriate management to cross-border mergers and acquisitions or diaspora marketing, and had the opportunity to benefit from the wealth of bundled experience of Senora Munoz and her assistant manager Senora Martinez.
Prof. Nikola Hale, native of Philadelphia, has been living in Europe for 35 years, providing intercultural training, consulting and coaching to leaders and managers in industry and government in managing across borders. Her work takes her to Xi’an Northwest University in China where she regularly teaches a course on intercultural management to executive MBA’s and to consulting for industry for cross-bordes joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
